Jedidiah Equipment was started in March 2008 by current director Jed van Niekerk on Stoneybrook farm, Kokstad in Kwa Zulu Natal. Initially the company started off with a single 1980s Komatsu D41 bull dozer. The dozer was hired to farmers for general earthworks such as dam and road building. As more earth moving machines were added the demand from clients needing agricultural work grew. So, from 2009 the company started to offer services such as land prep, dairy slurry spreading and tractor hire. In 2011 the company bought its first 7550 self-propelled forage harvester for chopping maize silage. Soon afterwards the company was also able to offer maize planting to its clients. Over the years the fleet has grown considerably and in turn has given the company first-hand experience working with tractors and implements in varying conditions. In 2015 due to the underperformance of equipment on the market the company began to modify and build their own implements for use in the contracting side of the business. This included strip tillers, trailers and slurry pumping equipment. This grew rapidly as the near by farmers also were wanting equipment built for them. In 2018 Jedidiah officially
